We collect nothing.
No accounts, no telemetry, no crash reporting, and no analytics on this website. This page says what that means in practice.

The app
SkyNotch never sends us your settings or your usage. The only outbound connections are the ones listed under What the app connects to.
What SkyNotch stores on your machine
Its settings, in the standard macOS preferences file under ~/Library/Preferences, and a lock file under ~/Library/Application Support/SkyNotch. Removing SkyNotch leaves those small files behind and changes nothing else.
What the app connects to
Once a day SkyNotch fetches a small text file from its release feed to learn whether a newer version exists, and, when you accept an update, downloads the new build from the public repository on GitHub. Those requests carry no identifier and no personal data; GitHub keeps its own server logs under its own policy. That is the whole list: no telemetry, no analytics.
This website
No cookies are set and no analytics run here. There is no tracking pixel, no session recording, no advertising network and no third-party script. Every asset the page needs, the typefaces included, is served from this domain.
The site is served by Cloudflare, which keeps standard server logs (IP address, time, requested address, browser string) to deliver pages and defend against abuse.
Email and the feedback form
Mail to [email protected] is forwarded to the developer’s mailbox. The exchange stays in that mailbox until you ask us to delete it. There is no mailing list.
The feedback form becomes one mail to the developer and nothing else: it is not stored on the way, and no third party handles it. It carries what you wrote, the address you gave if you want an answer, and, when you arrive from the app, the SkyNotch and macOS versions, your hardware model and how many displays you have. Leave the address empty and there is nothing in the mail that names you.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, ask for a copy, or ask us to delete it. Write to[email protected] and we will answer within thirty days. In practice all we hold is the mail you have sent us.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it.
